Here is a group poll:
I will add a fonts section to my links collection if you ask for it. I
have avoided this until now because fonts on the internet are like weeds
in a poorly maintained lawn. If there is an interest however a freeware
fonts section will be added. Discussion on the merits of adding a new
section are not needed simply reply yes or no to this message.
Should I add a fonts section:
YES____
NO_____

Ken,
I have quite a lot of fonts available (like 25 MB RARed), and about
half of them have cyrillic support, too (if anyone needs it). If you
need them, I think I can arrange to put them on a site for you to
download. Please let me know if you are interested.

I appreciate the offer but I have no place to archive such a large collection.
My intention is to simply supply links to sites that offer fonts for download.
I too have an impressive collection of fonts - 1 CD with about 65 megs of fonts
and another 4-5 CD's with font sections. I have no storage space on my site
for such large collections of fonts most of which are already available elsewhere.
If you have any very special fonts that you would like to share you could
host them on your web site and I could then link to them...

OK then. I thought that might have been the case, but still felt like
making the offer.

I will consider this idea. The webmaster is a friend of mine. I talked
to him yesterday about putting some of my guitar mp3s online and he
didn't mind, so I guess he won't mind a couple hundred kilobytes more
:) After all, he's just supporting this service and not paying for
transfer <G>

Sorry about the "maybe", I'm just thinking that rather than fonts per
se (like any and all ttf) that perhaps font utilities geared toward
POV-Ray would be the most appropriate thing. That and things done
with fonts, etc. I mean anyone could look up fonts easily enough or
already have many anyway as you have said.
Just being a weed in the lawn.

That was my point. Fonts are like weeds on the internet with thousands
of sites that offer them. When it comes to font tools however I bookmark
any and all utilities that I feel will associate well with Pov without the
slightest hesitation. My current collection would be nothing without that
attitude.
Judging by the limited responses so far though I probably will add
a section for sites that offer large selections of fonts. This way the
people searching for them can dig through the sites to fill their needs
and I won't have to maintain a large data base for sites that offer them.

Hoe, Hoe, Hoe your lawn,
eradicate the weeds,
merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,
fonts for all your needs.
