Hi all,

I finally got round to getting my own website. It has a POV gallery, and a section
featuring my music in realaudio format.
It's still in it's early stages, but I've avoided those annoying 'under construction'
signs.

Well, I got to listen to "Lunaland" anyhow. Wasn't easy to do. I
couldn't just click on the link, if I did all that happens is a
text-like file starts to appear. Looked like the rm file as it would
appear in Windows Notepad. Then I tried downloading with right-click and
Save Link as... in Netscape. No go, crashed when I tried to play it. So
finally I right-clicked on the link and chose Copy Link Location. Pasted
that into RealPlayers Open Location and after a lengthy wait it began to
play. Liked it and tried to do same with Another World and got nowhere
this time due to network traffic jam or so RealPlayer suggested (twice).
I'll try some other time.
Got any music tracks where you voice-over or multi-track the lyrics
yourself? I know I only heard the one song so far, but think you could
do good singing with yourself so to speak. I think it would create a
schizo effect where you aren't yourself the second time through. Maybe
so, maybe not, maybe I don't know anything... ;)

Well, you're not the only one who is apparently having problems. Someone said that it
appeared to download okay, but played silence. It's possibly something that I'm doing
wrong, but I don't know what. It works fine for me by just clicking on the link..it
buffers for a while, then plays. I cleared out the cache, so it was definitely
downloading
it form the site.
Are you using Win 95/98? Are you using RealPlayer G2? I'm concerned that everything is
not
working as it should.
Has anyone any suggestions?

Harmonising with myself, you mean? Yeah, I've got a number of tracks like that (
not
the ones I posted, unfortunately ). Of course, you'll be able to purchase the cd when
it's
released ;-)

I couldn't get that. It only does a direct URL from the player.

Not a one. Win95 and RealPlayer G2 is what I have. G2 nagged me about an
update, but somehow I wouldn't think that is it as I've played many,
many, many rm files, music, live and recorded video too.
Ah ha! I just thought of something! I have a notoriously slow
connection, did you make the files with some sort of connection speed
limitation? Don't know how they are made but the 14.4K, 28.8K, etc.
minimums are seen all the time.

Yeah, that's it harmonising :}
Sounds like it would be a good CD from what I managed to hear.

P.S.

Found that IE works out, Netscape is the culprit in my case anyhow. I
then overloaded it by trying 3 *.rm d/l's at once, didn't make it.
The music is superb, just what I like. After I thought about it,
harmonising is not really what I meant after all. More so alternate
lyric lines or such with tonal differences. That Lunaland sounds so much
like Pink Floyd Echoes from the Meddley (sp?) album. Any influences
there? I know. Old, old album... Before Dark Side of the Moon.
Not a bad thing to me anyhow. Not at all. Keep us up to date on the CD.

As usual with me, this is off-topic, but Chroma Key is my liking,
www.chromakey.com

Worth a look if only for the web design.

design, and that the interface is in POV....
as well as some of his own images..

I'm glad you like it. I've been making these songs for so long on my own that you lose
perspective as to whether it's any good or not. It's good to have these kind of
comments.
I don't like Pink Floyd, so no obvious influence there..mainly the Comsat Angels..a
rather
obscure but cult-like band from the eighties/early nineties. It's great for me that
I'm
actually on the same label as them.

I think I'll put mp3's up there as well, for those ( many ) having problems.

I tried the Another World mp3, firstly I had to do the shift/click trick
to get it to download otherwise I got text. Second, it was all garbled
up
like it was under water.
Could be my end but I don't think so...sounded like a compression problem.
