I guess the difficulty is defining "problem" in this case. To me, my
image isn't quite as "grand" and crystal-choir-type as I'd imagined it
in my mind. But I'm not really sure what can be done to fix it. Maybe
once it finishes rendering (I wasn't kidding about never again using
focal blur...4.75 hours and only now getting to line 1 of the first-pass
render) p.b.i can tell me what's wrong with it.
It's one of those cases where it *could* of course be improved (what
can't??) but it's a matter of what exactly to do and how much of a
difference the additional time will make. I'm between a rock and a hard
place, really. :)

I give that one points for quoting Vermeer, and the dawn of "triomphe d'oil"
illusionism.
However, I give dings for...
It's one picture of one girl, mirrored. Real twins need differences in
personality and clothing. A face's lips should be just a little
discontinuous to avoid feeling like a sneer. Also giving up on the
background and framing doesn't help.

Unsubmit??? ...I'm going to be lucky to have something to *submit* by
January 31st. I've had about half a dozen image ideas, semi-completed
two of them, and don't like either one. Bah humbug.
I guess my problem is trying to figure out what is a good showcase of
POV-Ray's features without being too simplistic scene-wise. Radiosity,
photons, media and area lights don't make a good image. I can make a
really ugly model, apply all the above techniques, render it for three
days and still end up with a very ugly model! :) (which is, in fact,
what I think I have done)
Ramble ramble ramble...sorry.
