No, no. Silver sand is very prized. It shows that Michael was there.
I agree about the image looking washed out. I often thought that
Thomas's entries used to have the same look and I would often change the
gamma, to get a better looking image to my eyes, before voting.

This is another image, in this Challenge, that depresses me as the
standard of entries are so good. I despair, ever to to create one of
this quality.

Since you mention it. I don't think that she should wear a bra. She is a
free spirit. Au natural as Nature intended.

It is a wonderful place. (Shame about the natives. ;-) )

A very good image.

Oh but think about all those innocent eyes browsing the internet! You
would lead them into frightful temptations (or worse). You don't want to
have /that/ responsibility on your conscience, do you? ;-)

In the good old times, yes.

If silver sand, then it needs some sandy look I think. Now it looks more
like mud.

If it is wet it would. But when dry

1. What is a conscience?
2. Art is the exception and this is art.
3. (Thank the Victorians for making the human body taboo) ;-)

Yes, fair enough indeed. Still, I would like a more /sandy/ aspect.

I have always wondered how some people view the Venus of Milo (for
instance) or the Laocoon. Probably they don't view them...

Without saying, I entirely agree with your three points. With one
reservation: I would blame the /bourgeois/ society of that time, not
necessarily the Victorians alone; and the Church of course.

How about the right-wing dominionist oligarchs of /our/ time. Our
attorney general under King George the W, John Ashcroft, had the statue
of Lady Justice draped during his tenure, as he deemed her
insufficiently clad.

P.S. For the past few days, I have been unable to login to the
newsgroups via the Web interface. I enter my email and password, and
all it does is redisplay the login page. Is anyone else having this
problem?

I'm using openSUSE 13.1 GNU/Linux, and it doesn't matter which browser I
use.

Odd, I pretty much always use the web interface and it has been working fine for
me. I would not imagine anything has changed on the server side but have you
tried enabling the developer tools (Chrome) or equivelent to see if it displays
any script errors?
