Hey!
Lovely landscape :)
I love the forest (PovTree?), I love the way it fades into fog.
I think the bump on the water could be scaled down.

Nice one.
I think the water needs scaling up parallel to banks?

Noted, and I'll modify that...mind, the corrected version will only appear
on my home page.

Not entirely certain what you mean, but the water level and angle of the
banks were chosen based on some real-life snapshots.

Sorry - should have said the normal needs scaling. Your water looks
like lake water, flat with no flow. The image looks like a river
scene and I was suggesting you stretch the normal in one direction.

The water looks too smooth to me... The way it is, it looks more like oil or
silicone. I'd probably try using f_hetero_mf isosurface function to get the
high-frequency elements stay in the place and make the surface more ripply
and water-like. Alternatively you could use a number of noise/ripple normals
summed up at different frequencies.

Never heard of either technique...could you possibly give me a snippet of
either or both?

A number of people have made that comment; I scaled the normals down by
1/4 in my program. Of course, for the actual image, I'd need to rescale
it by some other value to get a riverish look...

Thanks for the suggestion.

Here you go, for the second method.

Full picture source posted to p.t.s-f, too.
