You are just showing off now. ;-)
Keep it up. :)

After my last post, I guess I was subconsciously reading the titles of
recent posts, because a word was running through my mind: mushrooms,
mushrooms, mushrooms... of course! Mushrooms!

You got me... I'm such a show-off! Nah, I'm really humble: it's all
due to the Power Of POV-Ray and some 20+ years of experience.

"In the valley of Liebendor past the mountains of Throng..."
I like this one best.
(I didn't care for the moss and rock texture in the previously posted
yellow version. They looked too, um, flat? ... But, I would never tell
_you_ that)

Why not? You know it, I know it, so... Really, I need criticism: I'm
known to be too lazy to correct flaws until someone tells them publicly.

I like all these crystal images, but my favorite thus far is this clear
quartz one casting rainbows of light on the surrounding rock.
In my last two apartments I've hung glass prisms in windows catching
morning sunlight. Having brilliant spreads of color show up on the walls
around me as I drink my first coffee of the day always greatly brightens
my mood.
(And that deadly caffeine - being discussed in povray-off-topic - saves
my mood on the cloudy days ;-) )

Yes, photons+dispersion gives very nice results... but it's very slow,
specially if you add focal blur into the mix. Of course I will use them
on the final render of the cave, but I'm guessing a render time of more
than 12h...

That's a very nice idea, if you have a window that catches morning
sunlight. Mine doesn't until 10 AM or so, but at least I've direct
sunlight until sunset.

Ah... fortunately I don't read p.off-topic, so I can happily continue
to drink lots of coffee every day (and not only early on the morning).

This is the worst crap I've ever seen. I can't believe I wasted

old's poop has more texture than this. Jackson Pollack was a realist

Your subject says "Cave". Perhaps you should google what a cave looks
like. Unless Spanish caves don't have openings.
Maybe your mommy can upgrade your Commodore 64 for your birthday.

Oh, I forgot to write "constructive" between "need" and
"criticism".... my fault. ;)
