Thomas, that's huge statement. I hope it's inspiring for everyone!

Well, I don't know about the others, but I find it depressing. :-(
Depressingly good, that is.

After looking over the scene files for this marvellous picture, I would like
to add another congratulations. It deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. Not
only is it one of the most beautiful images I've ever seen, but also one of
the most technically amazing. Your translucent and bloom effects are just
brilliant. Your translucent effect is especially clever, and useful. It
would be great to see it incorporated into POV itself.
Even with code in hand, I'm still trying to figure out how you did it -- the
sign of a real illusionist, to retain the magic even after showing how the
trick was done.

I checked the image quickly first and I liked it but somehow missed it.
Next time reading p.b.i I read some comments and checked the image again
and told myself "whoa, this actually IS nice". The next time I read
p.b.i I checked it again and this time I also had to check who made it
(I did at the second time also, but missed somehow - like the image
itself at the first time) and told myself "no wonder it's nice, it's Sam's".
Seriously, Sam, from time to time you manage to surprise even more. Once
again you made something incredibly cool, like many times before (ie.
water bug).
