Here's my leaf macro as it stands:

It's more comprehensive than I remember - all the leaf types apart from stalks
and grassblades have uv vectors (u along the length of the leaf, v from the
centre to the edges), so uv_mapped textures will work with them. Also, the
macro only produces triangles - it has to be called from inside a mesh block -
this means you can have as many leaves as you want in a single mesh.
