If someone wishes to ignore the traditions of Christmas, they will.

But, you missed the point of my response to the o/p, namely:

         An Advent calendar is a special calendar used by some Christians
         to count the days of Advent. The calendar reminds us of the coming
         of Jesus as a baby...    and the Second Coming of Jesus as King.

The DEFINITION of Advent Calendar is fixed. Just because my nephew was born on
December 25th, doesn't mean the Advent Calendar is about him.

The point of my analogy was to show that some things are defined.
If you wish to color your trees Blue for effect, it is fine.

If you want to call rgb<1,0,0> by French "rouge" fine, but not "bleu" .
