The Sun is dazzling white, not yellow. At best, put a touch of yellow
(e.g., rgb <1, 1, 0.9>) to complement the blue of the sky. (Yellow does
dominate the Sun's output, but our eyes are evolved to compensate.)

Even at sunset, when the Sun turns progressively creme-colored, then orange,
then red, the color is never saturated (i.e., blue value is always > 0).
Most importantly for lighting in general, nothing in the scene can be
brighter that the light source. If the Sun is pure yellow (rgb <1, 1, 0>),
then nothing apart from the sky would appear to have any blue in it. (The
sky is exempt, because the sky is what takes the blue out of the Sun in the
first place.)

Realism can be best maintained by having the Sun object (looks_like) the
same color as the light_source, but using a high ambient finish.
