Here you go. And it is free. Limited to their cards though. And yes it is
raytrace with many primitives simulare to POVRay. An ISOsurface modal could
be built into the shader for an object as well. i have seen it on MentalRay
and Renderman so it may have already been done for Gelato.

I believe it would take way too much changing to make POVRay capable of
using the GPU and still run on so many different OS's.
