The scene file "cliche.pov" in the scenes/advanced-folded crashes my Mac.
Looking closer at the scene file, reveals that it is the same problem with
the imagemap here, as in the heightfield in "crater.pov":
There's no BITMAP_TYPE defined, and no hints in the scenefile's comments
that a certain output format is required to be able to render this scene.
Now, aside from that the computer crashes, this is an easy thing to catch
- it's just to add the bitmap_type in the imagemap. But for a new user who
adds a clock to the camera position and tries to make a QT-movie out of
this file will have a tough time catching this problem.
So, isn't it better to add the bitmap identifiers in all the demo scenes,
and let people discover this non-intuitive shortcut by themselves in the
docs?
Or, at least, add a comment about it in the demo scenes where this
shortcut is used?
