The snow was crunching underfoot (in the story) so you'll want the footprints
to not be too deep.  Speaking as someone who has seen snow recently (though 
not all that recently, thank whoever has so far spared us from real snowfall
this winter) you should make the footprints clean and distinct, with perhaps 
a short extra stroke at the heel (where her foot would have swung down through 
the snow, since she's probably not marching) and some small-to-medium piles of 
snow in front of the toe, where the loose snow falls off the top and front 
of her shoes as she walks.

And put that crossbar on the lamppost!
