I wanted to prevent that someone says:
"The linux installation needs 136k more than DOS."

I have a 486DX-33 with 8MB RAM which I use as a router
and printer server. The fact that it runs fine shows
me that the memory consumption of linux isn't too high.
I am, however, not sure enough of my opinion that I
dare to claim that DOS and linux are are equal in this
respect.

Perhaps I should try to create a linux boot disc
that is tuned to run POV-Ray. This would enable us to
see the differences.
