Hello,
I am sure this would be a simple one but i am not able to get a perfect
mirror object in povray, i mean with the effects like glass-shine etc.

can anybody help me ?

Try this for the texture:
finish{reflection 1.0}

Hi,
    I include the ambient and diffuse keywords in the finish statement.
finish{reflection 1.0 ambient 0.0 diffuse 0.0}. It gives the impression
that the light is coming from the mirror.
