There are a lot of definitions for it but basically advertising a product
or service in an inappropriate manner is called spam. Unsolicited ads
you receive in your email are called spam. Get rich quick ads in news
groups are considered spam. Posting the same ad in 500 news groups is
called spamming the news groups. Repeatedly posting the same ad in
a news group week after week is considered spam and so on and so forth.
You should have no problems running the software this person offers
so long as it was programmed correctly. You run this risk with any
software so don't worry about that.

Please don't. Ken has posted a newly defined server policy on
cross-posting and multi-posting in the p.a.f-a-q group. Also, your reply
to this thread has been cross-posted. Mine is confined to this
p.b.utilities, only. Thanks for your consideration, D.
