Hello! I just downloaded POV-Ray for Windows 3.1e, and when I click on a
hyperlink in the help file, I keep getting a message stating that there is
an error in the help file and to contact the vendor for the latest version
(which is what I have). However, the page will display correctly, but I
can't use the Back button or arrow buttons.
This also happened in an earlier version of POV-Ray 3.1 (I think it was
3.1d), so it's not a new problem. I downloaded it from the offical POV-Ray
site. I don't think the file is corrupt.
I'm running Win 98.
It's not a big deal, just a small inconvenience.
Thanks!
Cindy Groves

Did you by any chance do a full uninstall of the previous version before
upgrading ? It might be that the association in the registry has not been
updated as a result of not uninstalling first. I am just guessing on this.

I believe I did a full uninstall. It's been a while between the time I
uninstalled the earlier version and installed this one, and I'm not sure
whether the uninstall would have left entries in the registry. How would I
fix this?
Thanks!

Y'know what? Now the help file works fine, and I didn't do anything!
Weird...
Thanks,

If you hit the help button in the 'render settings' dialog box, it says that
"The help topic does not exist (129)"

Same here, never tried to use that particular Help button before, but it's broken.
Wonder where it's intended topic is? Guessing it's supposed to bring up the POV-Win
help
and the part called Render Menu under The Menus section though.
