I just downloaded megapov 1.1 and the latest POV 3.6.1a, but megapov throws
the error "Editor DLL Initialisation failed [LoadLibrary failed, code is
0000007e]" when loading.
I've poked around a bit to try to figure out what the problem is and I think
it is probably because the official POV version I got is actually too new!
It seems the dlls in the bin directory have been updated and are now
incompatible with megapov 1.1.
Is there any way I can fix this or do I need to wait for megapov to be
updated?
Cheers,
Tek

I installed 3.6.1a without unistalling 3.6.1 and I guess the previous
.dlls weren't over written. The new ones are *32.dll and megapov uses
the ones without 32.. *shrugs* or something else, but at least both pov
and megapov are running.

That sounds like a good enough solution. Now all I have to do is find an
older version of pov 3.6...
Thanks,

I have the same problem. I went from POV 3.5 to POV 3.6.1 without POV 3.6
and have this DLL problem. How do we get POV 3.6? Also, it put POV 3.6 in
a separate directory under Program Files by default, so now I have two
copies taking up HDD space. Drats.
Thanx.

Hi,
I have had the same problem, so I downloaded and installed an (not so) old
version povray (3.6.1). You could find it there :
ftp://ftp.povray.org/pub/povray/Old-Versions/Official-3.6/Windows/povwin-3.6
.1.exe
After, I installed the actual version (3.6.1a) and then megapov 1.1.
Now it's work.
