Many thanks to everyone that has responded. I really like the
possibilities that Poser brings, and being able to combine that with the
power and flexibility of POV-Ray is truely a good thing...

Thanks to Thomas for creating such nice conversion stuff. I'll probably
try the 3Dto3D first for the conversion...

Thanks to Nathan for the UV patch... I'll have to download that very
soon now...

Thanks to Alan for mentioning Gilles' picture. I was really impressed
with it, and I showed it to a couple of people in the Poser chatroom (on
Galaxy Net) who thought it was very good also.

Of course thanks to Gilles for creating the picture. I think that it
proves beyond doubt that POV-Ray is a viable program for rendering out
Poser models...

Oh and Gilles, you may want to check out Morph World if you haven't
already:
http://www.darksouls.com/traveler/

I believe Traveler has a morph in there regarding smoothing out the
thighs, which you mentioned was a problem area in the origional Eve
post. And an amazing amount of other morph stuff...

Thanks to Ken for the other links which I'll likely try eventually, and
for your great links page in general. That page enabled me to jump back
into POV recently with a minimal amount of searching around for updated
stuff...

So, I'll let all of you once I get a decent thing rendered out using
these methods... If it works out well, then I'll probably mention it in
the Poser forums as well, to maybe let some of them know that POV works
with Poser now...

Take care everyone,
Shawn =)

Thanks for the comments and link (which is down, but should be up in a few
weeks).
I've been using Poser and Pov since Poser 1.0 and, like isosurfaces and
UV-mapping, it certainly changed a lot my way of using Pov. Particularly,
if the POV-team decides to include UV-mapping in official pov, we will have
the best of both worlds in pov, i.e. the ability to import external models
with full image maps + all the macro programming and incredible primitives
supported by pov.
