Welcome to POV-Ray - the most memory eating program I have ever used.
She is a hungry beast :)

The only reason a bought 64 Megs more RAM (so now I have 128 Megs) was
povray. No joking. I don't have any other program that starts swapping with
64 Megs of memory.

Wow, good thing I pitched in a few more pennies for 128 megs. . .
Heh. I really like this scene! Thanks, David!

Ditto. That's the only reason I went to 128 megs directly (instead of my
dad's suggestion to buy 64 now and 64 later). Also, I'm hoping to reach 1
GB some day! (my board supports it! w00!)

Same here, Warp. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, else on my machine uses as
much memory or puts my hardware through a workout as much as POV-Ray. Even
the most of the latest PC games will run with headroom to spare if I had
invested in a nicer 3d video card, but it isn't that important to me.
