Want to compile povray on BeOS?

Visit http://www.newcolor.com/dswpov/ and grab the file dswpov-be.tgz

(Note: this web page is "under construction" and will be replaced by
something nicer, as soon as i'm done with my current animation project - i
hope by end of 2000!)

Start with unix povray source, available at www.povray.org. Latest version
is 3.1g, which has been around for months.

Put the .tgz file in the /src subdirectory

Unzip and untar it to create a directory named beos2 which will contain a
makefile and sources.
There are no modifications necessary in the main povray source files.
Just type "make"

Resulting povray is a command line version, with the new options -D and -P
which work just like in unix. Normally for a preview window, use both.
Omit both if you want hands-off rendering to a file.

Also you can say -D2 or -D3 ... up to -D9 to create a magnified preview
window - image and its pixels rendered at n times normal size. Good for
rendering tiny images w/o magnifying lens.

This is "alpha" - may crash or act funny.

Others have also provided POV-Ray for BeOS. So, here's another. Why? Why
not! You may use the source any way you like, modify it, etc.
