I'll jump in quick before Andrew does. ;-)

I never knew that Germans have their own language.

Thanks, any idea which one? There are so many.
I thought that it might have been Delany's Dhalgren but when I checked
it was a different type of dress. That might be fun to do too.

It is not helped when you see things like Unreal engine 4. (Thanks Darren)

Late 90's for me. I just wanted to do a Fractint fly through, which I
must get round to doing someday.

That's certainly true.

It is just you. Everybody else simply concludes that Holger is from
german speaking area or already knew that (his name is sort of a
give-away).

Well done, especially the implicit assumption that German is only spoken
by Germans (forgetting Austria, parts of Belgium, Switzerland, Italy,
even France, and a few other small states, and minority groups in many
other countries)

And the assumption that Germany is a country in its own right and has
been since Roman times. (Maybe I am going too far with that one. Who can
forget Prussia and all those other states?)

Also you could have mentioned the Low German spoken in the Netherlands.

Arguably, Swiss German is a very different language. :)
