Othello should have done the same to Iago for the same reasons.
He has a cunning plan. ;)

See, there is a plus side to being poorly.
It gives you perspective.

Which is identical to one of Baldrick's
Baldrick: I have a cunning plan, my lord.
Blackadder: Does it involve a turnip?

Yup. I get the feeling they didn't actually want to leave. All they were
looking for was a way to add pressure on the EU for further
renogotiations. As the old saying goes: "Be careful what you wish for ..."

Additional:
re the online petition for a re-run of the referendum

South Georgia (pop 0) has registered 2761 votes.
British Antarctic Territory (pop ~400 at this time of year) - 2595 votes
Vatican City (pop 842) - 34779 votes.

Something very fishy going on here.

Where did you read that?

It could be the Leave Campaign trying to void the vote.

could be that the site's designers were drawn from the bottom 20%:

otoh, perusing Google Images with 'BREXIT cartoon' may provide
additional insights. ;-)

agree though that sitting back and, if not enjoying at least watching,
the 'show' with interest, is all one can do at this point.

Ah! the petition for a second referendum. I misunderstood.
St. Nicola is putting in her tuppence worth as well.

You will be able to sell tickets for it soon.

That is my analysis too.

He, at least, has been the most 'honest'(?) of the whole bunch, wanting
to leave all along. That he may have put his money on a limping horse is
another matter.
