Oh yeah! What next, flying cars and a computer in every home?

Any particular reason?
I want to give Toshiba a miss as the sound on my last couple of laptops
have been unacceptable. (Stuttering and clipping at low volume.)

That is the problem. The more I think, the more I want and the more it
costs.
Besides Firefox, Thunderbird, M$ Word & Excel. I want to run Pov, of
course, and Blender. Half decent sound would be okay, too.
Almost forgot, low weight is a high priority.

According to rumours, I hear that multi-processors will soon be available.

... as well as sanity on p.o-t :-)

Purely from the experience I have had with their phones. The hardware
works but the software is less than acceptable (I was going to say sh*t
but this a family-geared forum)

Not the best move you could have made ... wait ...

... looking at it, you've successfully blocked Jim's re-entrant. Was
that deliberate or just a lucky move?

I think that you are way out with this one.

I liked my SG2 at first but after an update the battery life took a
dive. Fourteen to sixteen hours with low usage. I got a SG3 recently and
am very happy with that. The phone works and the life is about five days
with quite a bit of usage of the audio circuits per day. As for apps, I
don't use many excepting task killer to get rid of the bloatware.

Hmm. Is Samantha giving you a hand? The rules categorically state that
<riffles through a few pages> ... bugger, no they don't.

Just technical interest. I can't see a real life use.

I've not tried on my SG3, it worked on the SG2 but it is clunky s/ware
and I did not use it much, preferring a USB connection.
