Hmm. When you put it like that... even *I* probably walk further than
that on most days...

Who, me? Nope; I'm completely single...

Well, there's not much argument about that.

That does make sense....

Hmm, so you're saying it's subjective. ;)

Um, no. I don't have that kind of energy or ambition.

Some people like stories that are more like reality. I like when good/
evil is not clear cut.

Seems like you saw a different film than I did. The rebels lost Hoth,
Luke lost his hand, Cloud City was in the hands of the Empire, Han Solo
was encased in Carbonite and needed to be rescued, and the rebels were
scattered across the galaxy.

Yeah, a *lot* to be happy about there.

Having the ending spoiled, for many people, doesn't ruin the film/story,
because it's about how they got there, rather than what the ending was.

Of the prequel films, I enjoyed the third the most *because* I knew where
it was going.

Hahaha. :-D

I've noticed that a huge number of films have an evil guy who is evil
JUST TO BE EVIL. The real world doesn't work like that. Nobody does evil
things just because they want to be as evil as possible. They do it for
a *reason*. Even Hitler had reasons for doing what he did. I mean,
really poor reasons, but reasons none the less.

Sheesh, and people call *me* a pessimist...

There are very very few evil people. Selfish, yes, but very little actual
evil. Nobody thinks of themselves as evil.

Well, we judge them as really poor reasons, certainly. He obviously
didn't.

But <lafontaine> in a world where people just want to be entertained,
'evil' character's motiviations are less important</lafontaine>

There's a difference when talking about a work of fiction and real
life. ;)

Agreed.

Oh, I'm not so sure.

There are people who think of themselves as Napolean. I'm sure there are
lots of severely depressed people who genuinely believe they are evil.

No, most severely depressed people genuinely believe they're worthless.
