Oh, and if you hadn't noticed, I'm back from the UK. It was lots of fun.

Saw Bath, Conwy, York, London, Cotswalds, and probably a few other places
not springing immediately to mind. Sorry I didn't get in touch with anyone,
but it was viciously hectic. :-)

We did see Shakespeare's grave, if that's what you mean. Actually, I think
we missed Baker Street, now that I think about it. I had planned/wanted to
see that, but I don't think we had time.

The important question is:

Did you visit my uncle's jewellery shop just outside Bath? ;-)

Er, I mean, did you visit the York Minster? :-$

The *most* important question is:

Did you get a chance to sample a decent variety and/or quantity of real ale,
and/or single malt whisky, in a 'proper' pub setting? :)

Possibly. We were mostly inside Bath, except for trips to some of the
Cotswald towns around there, Stonehenge, etc.

Yes, that was very cool.

Most of our meals were taken in pubs, yes, and I had local beer/ale/etc with
each. I now also know what Bubble and Squeak is.

I must say, for a country with that many green fields about, you folks sure
don't eat many vegetables.

Haha, bog-standard pub grub does tend to favour protein and carbs over veg...
However, the more 'restaurant'y pubs should have provided a better balance.

Much as I'd like to dissuade you from extrapolating our national diet from what
pubs offer, sadly it might be all too accurate a view... although I don't
include myself in that :)

unhealthy nation on Earth?

Heh. Now there's a pipe organ I've love to play. ;-)
