I was wondering if that had shown up on Youtube yet, saw it a couple
times last night while watching Cash Cab, and my wife wanted to show the
kids. Now we can, because we didn't save the recordings.

I've forgotten the bios of all the pov personalities. Are you the one who's
an actual NYC cab driver? Know anything about the show? Is it "real"? The
guests seem real enough, but I wonder what are the chances of a tourist
stepping into his cab. Is it like one chance in 50 of picking the right
week that the show is taping, times 1 in 10,000 cabs ? Or is it staged?

What chokes me up about the promo is how everyone gets their own kind of
adventure and a vocation of scientific pursuit in a different way that
brings joy to their heart. Experiencing mummies to researching human
employment to movie stunts to tornadoes to the wilderness. That's what
gets me right HERE.

Nope, that's Jim Charter. I'm in NYC, but Jim C. and I discussed it, and
the guy is a licensed cabbie in NYC (in the older series, they showed his
hack license, and it was valid).

Only what I've read on the web.

I've no reason to believe it's not.

"There are 13,000 cabs in New York City"...seems like a 1 in 13,000
chance of picking it, but he does seem to spend most of his time on
Broadway and along scenic routes, so you could probably reduce the odds
by being in those areas.

Well, there is that as well, not figured into the above odds,
obviously. :-) I'd say about the same chance as getting any particular
cab.

I don't think it is. Check out the discovery.com pages for it - seems to
be absolutely real.
