hello

how can i distort objects like described in the following ad studio max tut?
http://www.planet-tutorials.de/tutorials_3d_002.php

that it is possible, show the following posts in this usegroup:
http://news.povray.org/povray.binaries.scene-files/22448/
http://news.povray.org/povray.binaries.images/22393/
http://news.povray.org/povray.binaries.images/22370/
.... but i cant understand the code =)

i have read about "gravity" points, but i didnt really understand :> - is
there a simple way, to create strong fields of a force with random vectors?

maybe i could make such objects too, by using random points for a mesh
obect.

bb & thx, qiv ... :)

This is not distortion but simply moving mesh vertices - a task for a
modeler although you can surely do this in POV-SDL as well if you have the
vertices in an array. The cited posting in p.b.s-f. is rather complicated
- you will be able to achieve similar results with simpler methods but you
will have to learn SDL coding to some extent.

If you thought about distorting other shapes than meshes you should read
