This might seem stupid, but why is it that I get messages posted in the
newsgroups by e-mail as well? Since I connect to my ISP more easily than to
povray.org (blame Bulgarian communications ), it may happen that I respond
to someone by e-mail and then I see I should have posted this to the
newsgroup. I do, eventually, but this way the person in question receives a
copy of *my* post by e-mail, too... Any help?
Thanks,
Peter

There are some people, including myself, that feel if a person
is in dire need of information, sometimes at the message posters
request, that it is best to reply both to the poster and the group.
Some ISP's lose messages posted on news groups.
If you respond privately you deny the the other people in the group
the benefits of the information sent, but if you post it only on the
news groups the person needing the information may not receive it
as quickly as he indicated he needed it. It is then a optional decision
made by the person(s) who respond to your posted messages.
Some will and some won't but be glad in it and rejoice.
