You would really need three or more points.  Think "mandala" and you are
most of the way there for cheap webs, think radial lines and onion and you have
a good start for another cheap web, but the best solution is an iterative
algorithm where you give 3 or 4 points and two spacing values.
    Hmm, this might be fun to write.  I would use long, thin cylinders.
