alright, i understand the basic concept of UV mapping.. and it sounds liek a
great idea. I do all my rendering in Rhino3d which does support UV mapping..
i ussually export to UDO format and texture and light in moray, then render
in pov.
how do i go about setting the UV mapping up.. or correctly align/map my
objects and textures..

Moray (currently) has no internal or external support for UV mapping. You
will have to work directly with POV-Ray if you want to use this feature

Rhino exports directly to POV format. Maybe since 3.5 supports uv mapping
they will add texture map support. Doesn't help you right now but it shows
the doors this feature will could open up in the future.
