I'm just wondering, does anyone here have any interest in game
programming? I've got a few ideas, and I'd like to field them
Thanks!

Always... (interest that is, not actual programming ability, although will
Allegro, that might not be so hard :)

I might be interested. I don't do any GUI stuff, though.

Can you do relatively simple 3d accelerator powered graphics? Do you
have some experience with sprites? The game concept I'm thinking of
will require both or these. Maybe...

And by GUI you mean graphics for the user interface? Or you just don't
program menus?
Thanks.

Oh, and one more thing. I've found some really cool explosion to put in
this concept. Look at:

Heh, heh... Pyro baby!

No, and no. Probably the only thing I could do is physics. And I know
very little about real-time or game programming.

I mean anything above console text output. I could only work on the
parts that work "behind the scenes", like particle systems and physics.
And I don't guarantee that I am any good at those. :-)
And really, I would probably only be interested if this game was going
to have a Mac version, otherwise it would be difficult for me to test
anything.

If it turns into a probable game, it will be multi-platform. Besides - the
OSs are becoming more and more similar every month. Look at HALO for example
- MAC and PC both using a OpenGL rendering engine. Looks to ba an awesome
game by the way!

If you're serious about making a game, you can at least get a vague idea on
how to do it by downloading DJGPP and then Allegro. Compile Allegro and look
in the examples folder for a space game.
