Thanks. It's just a black metallic texture with a bit of bozo pattern normal,
nothing fancy, but it looks good.
The fife rails are done, here is a photo of the mainmast one, with the bilge
pump attached.
Cheers
Ton.

Deckhouse is done. This is the largest object on Balclutha, besides the hull,
also one of the easiest.Just a RE_Box_y from roundedge.inc, cylinders and
toruses for the roof, and add the portholes and doors.

The ladders are done. Because the ladders are connected to the balustrade, and
the balustrade is connected to the railing, I had to do those as well. That took
a while. But without further delay, here are the latest images. The foredeck:

The catheads sure took some time, they are complicated.
Here they are.

A view of the whole ship, as it is now.
Now onto the anchors, and tie them securely to the catheads and the foredeck.

I wish there'd been an image of that same aspect, for every step along the way,
it would allow one to assemble a time lapse sequence. (looking forward to masts
+ rigging :-))

A good idea for many projects.
I've done a sort of "buildup" approach for scenes or complicated objects that
would lend itself to this even at this stage.
Basically every step is a numeric level, and if a value (the clock) is equal to
or greater than that level, the object {} gets rendered.
There might be a way to "delete" selected steps to show how modifications and
corrections were made.
Anyway, I'm sure he can easily do some editing to accomplish this.
Seeing the code or a description of how some of the more interesting objects
were created is always educational. :)

I've done the anchors, maneuvered them in place, slowly (they're heavy!), and
I've added the pin rail for the bowsprit.
This concludes the foredeck, now onto the aft.
Cheers
