I've scarcely touched POV for months now, but the other day I was inspired to
try to render something and place it into an older photograph.

I saw "The Day the Earth Stood Still" the other day, and after reading about it,
I discovered the original film was based on the short story "Farewell to the
Master" which is available at
http://thenostalgialeague.com/olmag/bates-farewell-to-the-master.html. It's
not a bad little story, and if you read it, this is my rendition of the day the
spaceship appears at the Smithsonian.

Lookin at that shadow, I may have to think about this one for a while

You did some trick with the shadow that is puzzling.
(oh, and I could have swore I saw flag move, heh)

Must tell more, do tell.

Marvelous. Is that the passenger looking at the statue, or just a play of light
and shadows ....

Well that's neat--I hadn't noticed that. That would be cool if I had intended
it, but I'm afraid that's just they way it came out. But sure! It's the
mysterious passenger.
