Hi all,

It's a rainy day in here Florida and I've been playing with image_pattern
textures all morning. Here's an abstract that resulted from my musings -
reminds me of neural pathways or something.

Okay, back into the shadows with me...

Happy Weekend!

Cheers,
Rob

Really strange and colorful and chaotic.
In short: beautiful!

Happy Weekend, Robert!

Frakking beautiful in a weird fractal, chaotic mean. :)

"Into the shadow" - Elwood

That guy composed it when he was about 15 years old. :)

Yep, several layered textures all using image_pattern as an opacity modifier for
glasslike layers. It's the same technique as masking say, a leaf shape, but
instead of just black and white I'm using the various levels of gray in a
grayscale image for the transmit values in the texture_map.

Using an ior of 1.5 here; stacking several layers of these with some granite
normals to break up the smoothness of the "glass" can provide some weird
patterns and interesting stacked refractions...

Pretty.

Reminds me of false-colour satellite imagery.
