Just an experiment to do an anisotropic reflection material. This is a kind of
machine-turned brushed metal.

There's a discontinuity where the back wall meets the curve - I'd tried UV
mapping the material around an SoR (pretending to be a cylinder) but I can't
work out how to make the two normal mappings the same. It's as if the SoR's one
is reversed or something.

But apart from that, do you think it looks plausible?

Cheers,
Edouard.

That looks really nice. Is it slow to render?

I can't notice the discontinuity you mention, it looks like one continuous
curved sheet of brushed metal to me.

Source please :)

That's a really cool material :)
