Before I put together a final scene, I wanted to get feedback on the components.
I've already posted the lantern, and now I'm posting the tree. I want to go for
a sort of "ghostly" image, so the tree is quite plainly textured. I'm not sure
if it's exactly right, and I think it needs to be a lighter texture. Any hints,
anyone?

In the end, I hope to use an isosurface with some soil-like texture and plant
the tree in it, then remove the lighting currently in this scene and replace it
with lighting just from the lanterns (I think someone wanted to see that...?).
I'll probably cluster a few lanterns just near the ground, have some in the
boughs and hang the rest off the branches. The background will either be just
plain black or maybe have a few stars or perhaps fog. Again, opinions would be
helpful.

Thanks

Sorry, just as an add on to this, I tried to make trees manually but, as you can
guess, I failed miserably. I just don't have the patience to manually fit
together cones and spheres...I guess the only solution is the approach used in
the include files I've seen so far, which is to use a loop or a macro and sort
of create small trees attached to larger ones, and just keep doing this till
you get a decent enough size. Only, you have to know how trees grow, for which
I think there's some sort of system (can't remember the name). I just ended up
using spline tree, so thankyou to Andrew, or whoever coded it.
