In fact... I *did* post this in the NERV forums. Oldie said it was very
well done, and McHaggis just whinged that "POV-Ray sucks" because it's
"far too slow". Whatever...

I like it! What would Dan Brown (of the DaVinci Code) make of the hidden
messages here? ; - )

Yes, that is correct. However,I was in fact not so much referring to "The
Last Supper"specifically, but to Giotto. I know: not exactly the same time,
but you know how the brain functions and makes connections.
The background reminded me strongly of some details of Giotto's work. I have
not been able to find on the web exactly what I am referring to (i.e. the
so-called pradella, i.e. small paintings below a major fresco) and which I
saw treated in a couple of fairly recent documentaries on ARTE. But the
frescoes with some architectural details show exactly what I mean: a
detailed perspective that is not always very consistent with the rules.

Try adding 'double_illuminate' to the tablecloth in order to
get rid of the artifacts.
(Although there's a possibility that it's actually caused by
the shadowing artifact, in which case there's no easy solution
because you can't remove shadows from the tablecloth without
affecting negatively the image. Try increasing the resolution
of the mesh.)

After a bit of google-ing I see what you mean. And If I knew how the brain

that is what experience is all about.

Gosh, half the fun with POV-Ray is the great community...
