I love the image and it's special look.. and the spheres add lots of
interest!

I think youre on to something with the modified sample directions. Imagine a
patch to POV-Ray where you could use a different sample set for different
materials. Then you could have surfaces with varying degrees of glossiness
rendered with radiosity! It shouldn't be that difficult to implement such a
patch... :)

That's great Mike. I love seeing Poser figs rendered in Povray. :O)

Gah, I can't stop looking at this image. I did the same kind of thing with
my 'Pinball' image, (the repeating thing) but yours has so much more to it.

A great image!

One thing though: The attitude of the figure seems very unconfortable to me,
with the heels lifted off the ground and at the same time the elbow resting
on the knee. You would not be able to ponder for long ;_) Perhaps sitting
with the feet flat on the floor would be better...

Otherwise, very well done!!

Thomas

Beautiful piece. Great combination of sexy and math. I love the way you've
depicted the golden section.

Beautiful composition, beautiful lighting--just top notch.

I see(?) that you're using a sky_sphere or HDRI to add lighting from above;
have you tried the scene without that (just using the panel lighting?) I'm
working on a scene of that kind, and (in POV-Ray), the radiosity settings
are very exacting; but no matter how much I tweak, artifacts/anomolies show
up that I just can't seem to get rid of. They come and go depending on where
the camera is placed and how small the ambient "light" sources are. Just
curious if you've run into this as well.

Heh! Well, I had to have something to show off lots of nice skin texture,
but still be PG13 :-0

Thanks, I'm pleased with the way it came out too ... look forward to seeing
what you're inspired to create!

Many thanks for the praise. I tried to incorporate a few different
variations on the GS, while getting a harmonious image. Seems to have
worked :-)

Unfortunately it's only ten levels deep - just about down to invisibility at
this scale.

I haven't tried anything quite like this; it took a while to figure out how
to get the centre of rotation position too! A question someone asked about
radiosity sample 'spread' on one of the groups got me playing with that.
I'd tried to do the scene in another way without a figure a week or so
previously and ran into a bug in POV-Ray which stopped me then. I'd
downloaded DAZ|Studio and started playing with that and suddenly the scene
came together in my head. With some tweaking I got the image to come out as
I imagined it, more or less.
