Hi!

This images I make using Blender + Povanim to export to POV and after
editing the files.

I prefer to refine the materials and lighting directly in the source with
Vim.

The background was make with macro realskies.

The final images are in below link:

A big hug!

Cogito ergo sum!

Looks nice, comfortable and somehow like a dorctor's place (a
psychologist?). The shape of the room works fine and give an unexpected
visual effect. The tiny fraction of the green plant (is it one?9 at the very
right can raise imaginations how the room would continue, and the green is a
good living addition to the interior of the room.

With the neutral furniture which still expresses some comfort and the
neutral white tiles and walls you give a modern, trendy note to that room,
and with the artwork at the walls you break through the neutrality and add
some small pieces or art and personality.

If this is really your first architectural work, then I am very eager to see
your future works, as well!

----------

And now a question on my own matters: would you be interested to design the
interior of a conference and meeting section of a space ship? Let me add
here again my invitation to everyone:

---

Greetings, people!

I would like to invite some artists to join my current project, the design
of a starship. While I have nearly completed the ship itself, I would like
some interior artists to design some really nice rooms for that ship.

The name of the artist(s) will be mentioned in each future posting and
inside the scene file(s).

What I want:

The room(s) should be stylish and made of soft warm colors and shapes. The
overall design should be modern but not cold or with corners. The rooms
should contain comfortable sitting arrangements, some selected plants,
carptets or some kind of underground material, ceiling, maybe room dividers,
walls, and low tables.

Despite of that your room is for a starship, this is much more a work really
for the true interior designers among you!

The first room I want someone talented for, is inside a conference and
meeting structure. the fllors are within a sphere:

sphere { < 0.0, 0.0, 0.0 > 27.0 }

The floors inside are defined as follows (but should be replaced by your own
floors and ceilings):

  difference //
.........................................................................................................................

  {
   sphere { < 0.0, 450.0, 55.0 > 26.5 }
   cylinder { < 0.0, 425.0, 55.0 > < 0.0, 465.0, 55.0 > 28.0 }
   cylinder { < 0.0, 468.0, 55.0 > < 0.0, 468.5, 55.0 > 28.0 }
   cylinder { < 0.0, 469.5, 55.0 > < 0.0, 470.0, 55.0 > 28.0 }
   cylinder { < 0.0, 473.0, 55.0 > < 0.0, 473.5, 55.0 > 28.0 }
   cylinder { < 0.0, 474.5, 55.0 > < 0.0, 475.0, 55.0 > 28.0 }
   object { KuppelFenster translate < 0.0, 465.0, 55.0 > }       // Fenster
in den 4 Beobachtungskuppeln
   pigment { LightBlue }
   finish { Glossy ambient 0.5}
  }

And the windows are defined as such:

#declare KuppelFenster=union
{
 box { < -0.5, 0.5, -30.0 > < 0.5, 2.5, 0.0 > rotate < 0.0, 000.0, 0.0 > }

I suggest that you create the entire sphere on your own. Put comfortable
conference rooms in it, a simple bar (Hmmm, did someone just say "C-4,
front" by thinking for the Enterprise?), nice decorations, broad elegant
stairways and/or automatic stairways, soft descent lighting, hologram panels
for the display of tactical situations, and - why not - some descent art.
Bear in mind to use the windows (or your own windows) as panoramic feature
being integrated to one of the floors, maybe the bar section in the middle
of the conference and meeting rooms.

Important: There is one sphere above the ship, and one below the ship.

I am looking forward to hear from you!

Sven

Hi!

Thanks for the words :)

Nekar - You have reason, the scene backgound is really poor. I don't have
time
and POV's knowledge. But I'll to study to make a work more composed with
little
time.

Sven - Oh yeah! I use "cogitas" because this phrase. In portughese You think
=
tu "cogitas".

The room is a lumber office that make wood exportation.

No, the tyny fraction of the green is a banner piece, that is glue on a
frame
glass. The logo is no beaulty, I don't make it :) I too think that a plant
make
the interior more pretty.

You will find more images of this project here;
http://cogitas3d.procedural.com.br/clientes/marciano1.html

Oh, this is a first work that I post here. I work with POV-Ray a little
time,
but study it for mouths. Before I use Yafray to render the scenes.

----

Now I'm busy with some architectural works. But if I can to help in some
thing
I'm here :)
-----

A big hug!

A quick and dirty trick for the exterior: put a box some distance out of the window,
large enough so
that you don't see the edges, with an image_map pasted on it.
