I rendered this with povray some years ago.
It's simple, but it hides a weird effect in it, which becomes visible
only when it's tiled several times.
To get the effect, the simplest way is to set it as a tiled desktop
background image (ie. so that it's repeated all over the screen) and
then minimize all your windows.
