We have a small artificial christmas tree resting atop a bookcase in the
hallway of our house. With the typical dim lighting in the hallway, there
are some wonderful photon glows on the wall behind the bookcase. As a basis
of inspiration I thought I'd take a few shots.

Since I may not have the time or abilities to recreate the effect, I thought
I'd post some small resizes of the shots. Just in case there are folks who
don't want to waste their time with all the shots, I'm posting them in
sequence under this message.

David

And this is the last one.. a close-up of the photons coming through the snow
globe from the christmas tree and striking against a piece of paper.

It looked so photorealistic that I suspected it was an "awesome" photo. Then I
read the title of your note and your note! :)

These really are quite awesome, I d/l'd the latest version
of MegaPov yesterday so I now have glow capability, but maybe
this type of work just requires lots of experimentation with
photons.

Glows themselves do not emit photons, so be sure to apply them to
light_sources.
