It was going to be a shuttle for my planned blob fleet, but this
render makes it look like a bath toy. Oh well back to the drawing
board:-)

It's too clean and high-contrast, I think. Ditto for the colors; they're
too bright and pure. Also, the background looks a lot like some kind of
murky underwater view, which lends to the effect... ^^;

The darkest hull plates really need removing imo. Why just the one magenta
light?

Looks a bit plane. Maybe add some recognisable features like windows.

Dark plates removed. And the magenta light was part of the background
not part of the central object.

I've kept the object and I am restarting the rest of the scene from
scratch. :-(

Any better? Sorry about the jpeg artifacts, but I was trying to keep
the file size under 50KBbu.

Looks nice now, the lighting has a certain mood to it. Would have been good to
still see the engine(?) nacelle supports.
Far as the jpeg compression goes I don't think it matters unless the intent is
to show more of a perfection and then I'd not expect to see such uploaded here
and instead to a web space anyhow. Oh, but that doesn't go for people not
uploading to web spaces in the first place since I guess there are many people
who just keep all their renders on disk.

With the murky atmosphere, glowing lights, and hydrodynamic shape, this
looks like a better submarine than space vehicle.

Returned the view to see the nacelle supports.

Shuttle for water-worlds? If it's just a submarine it doesn't need
warp nacelles, and the join between the nacelles and wing section is
the only bit I really like :-)
