Far from it. A lot of tweaking went into getting the expression as I
wanted it. Again, tho, the image does not show it off well.

I see from the side-by-side comparison that you have squashed the head a
bit (or broadened it) and shortened the nose. You've obviously changed
the eyes (which really give him that otherworldly look - nice!) Okay,
I'm convinced -- there was tweaking. Don comes with that default smug
look. Maybe a twist up of the lips and a raised eyebrow will give him
even more of a smirk and bring him more to life. Nice start to this
image, though! I really like the concept too -- you tend to come up with
some very creative concepts.

Cheers.

Start? That's it - no more.

I would say he is walking. The step pattern looks right to me, and
the wings don't look active.

Can you estimate how far he is from the ground (water?) based on this
picture? (Actually, a reflection might help there!)

I like these "thoughtful images". I'd like to know the authors "rationale"
behind the image!

This image clearly depicts a MIB, or a Man In Black. He's a minor
figure in Subgenius doctrine, but a figure that I've had much
involvement in portraying.

One thing to note: the MIBs, as thought of by the general public, are
not a bunch of Hollywood nice guys - they are far more sinister in
their dealings with those who would come in contact with either the
Grays or the Xists. As you can clearly see, they are not human, but
exist as exterminating angels, forever keeping the hoomans from
knowing the fate that awaits them on the 5th of July, 1998 [1].

'kay, I'll bite.
What happens... er, happened on July 5th, 1998?

X-Day. The day when the Xists shall arrive in their UFOs and burn away
the Pinks from this planet, leaving the paid-up Subgeni to frolic with
the sex goddesses.

Oh, July //fifth//. Duh. I was thinking of another day.
