I was playing around with the find_edges code, and made a version which
outputs the amount of change in depth, normal, and color as r, g, and b
components. I then mixed these components together using color_matrix,
and got this as a result:

Hey, it does. Cool... I just wish I could see the movie. I can't find it
anywhere. It happened too long before my birth. :(

If it looks Tron-like, it is just chance. I vaguely remember seeing that
movie when I was about 11 years old(+- 2 years). The only thing I
remember was some kind of a fight between ships riding electron beams in
what appeared to be a CRT.(And yes, I did know what a CRT was at the
time. I have always been a geek. :-) )
Oh, and some kind of scene with glowing frisbees(?!?)...

Good god! That makes me feel old...

I remember Tron pretty well, and I'm only 26 (for another two weeks) so I
dread to think what that comment will have done to the mental stability
of the older members of this NG :)

Bye for now,
     Jamie.

I don't wish to discuss it with you... sniff...

Wait! A mental image just came back to head. It's one of those moments you
forget through the years... I think I remember seeing the preview or
something like that on an old Disney movie we had on beta. I remember him
becoming cubes and getting absorbed. Then I remember the bikes. That's it.
Flashback complete...

Well, I am 17, and I figure I saw it at least 5-8 years ago. Does that
make you feel older or younger? :-)

Didn't it start off with the main character getting zapped in the back
with some kind of ray that pulled him into the computer? This part of my
memory is *really* inaccurate, so this might be some other movie
entirely, but I remember someone typing and then...

Hmm, funny, I don't remember any bikes at all. And becoming cubes? Do
you mean when he was pulled into the computer?
Maybe I should rent the video. :-)

Neither. ATM, I just feel knackered (note for non-UK readers,
knackered = Tired, exhausted, not feeling awake etc.), as it's 01:15 and
I'm waiting for a download to finish before I log off, shut down my PC
and go to bed (in that order)

Maybe tomorrow (or, more accurately, later today) I can phrase a vaguely
sentient reply...

<grin>

Bye for now,
     Jamie.
