The transparent number is pretty. Looks very formal(25 or 30 shape with bevel).

Very nice images indeed. I wonder what the pink-golden checkered object
above Ricky's wooden box should depict. It looks like some kind of a
futuristic hand plane IMO.
@Paolo: your wall-macro looks still fine. I like your actual
presentation much better than your 25-years congratulations to
www.povray.org from August 2019. It was fine too, but your new approach
looks much better IMO.
Best regards,
Michael

Okay, I should be more alert. You mentioned the hand plane. But why came
you up with this scenario?
Best regards,
Michael

A change from this tutorial is that I no longer recommend the 'once'
keyword in the image map.

It was my creative take on the reflective sphere on a checkered plane
motif back in 2008. Actually, I started on the concept in 2003, but I
was slow to get my hands on hand plane schematics, and meanwhile, I
started working on other RSOCP concepts.
Why hot magenta? I like the color. Why gold? Because it's gold, of
course!

Thank you, Michael, the time available is always very little, but
POV-Ray syntax helps to perform little variations with interesting results.

Paolo

Ah, I see. Sometimes an observer does not comprehend the original
intention of an artist at once. I think that is the reason why
catalogues of major art exhibitions are that think (I have two
catalogues of the documenta 8 and 9 gathering dust at my book shelf
since a lot of years). But I remember my first rendering. It was a
chrome sphere over checkered ground (green and white IIRC). An example
scene shipped with my Amiga 500 some years ago.
Best regards,
Michael

A great birthday present, and to think I didn't discover POV until 1993, a
wasted year ;-)
