Don't install the toolbar. It kept taking me to the site whenever I
opened a new tab.
A good source of meshes though.

Looks great! The subsurface parameters (or something else I can't point
my finger at) make it appear quite small though; I'd estimate it at some
20 cm in height. Maybe even 10 cm - just the right size to be the queen
in an exquisite set of chess figures.

Very nice indeed. For a second I mistook the shadow falling on the right
of the figure to be some kind of (crude) movement blurring :-) Maybe
this is due to the subsurface?

Very nice, could we get an idea of rendering time?
Enjoy your holidays Jim

yeah ... I've found that mm_per_unit 40 is a fairly good starting point.
you can most generally see if you need to go higher or lower easy
enough. given the scale I'm working with I'd say maybe even triple that
might not be to out of line. I'll probably end up doing a couple of half
step runs between 40 and 120 to see where I end up.

I believe that's from the statue straddling the shadow line ... that was
on purpose as I think the subsurface effect looks cool at those
transitions ... dunno if it's going to work out yet tho ;-)

Don't ever install any proposed toolbar, ever.
They only clutter your browser, slow down everything, and may cause all
sort of problems.

a close up of the statue ... most likely the subsurface settings I'll be
using, although I'm not sure what the artifact's are on the eyelids
(didn't show up in the radiosity final pass) ... but the rest of it
(sslt) is killer, wouldn't you agree! Using mm_per_unit 64 and
subsurface { samples 400,40 } in the globals block ... oh yeah and my
compliments to the author of the object, it's top drawer (BTW: ~100MB
subdivided via PoseRay)

Yes I would.

A very nice mesh, indeed.
