I'm surprised to hear such comments about this image. It's 2d, and there
is no real theme to it. Thanks!

I see a lazy artist <g>.
Sorry, couldn't resist, that's the first thing that comes to my mind with
art that "is whatever you think it is".
That said, it is pleasant to look at.

Ah, my first negative response! I didn't intend for this image to be
anything other than something for people to see images in. It's supposed
to accomplish the task very well, not poorly. In fact, the goal is to
force a "mind manifesting" experience in the viewer, and I used ideas
built up from such states to make it.
So to answer your first comment, let me say that I produced this image
because I'm uninspired, not lazy :)

I see a monkey's face centre-left, a Giger alien dead centre, and the
overwhelming impression that if you look at this universe on a quantum scale,
it's all gothic architecture.

Very cool! Pareidolia is always fun.
I was first immediately reminded of the shroud of Turin, not the image,
but more the "texture" of it.
The middle spot reminds me of a limitless pillared space, and I see
gardens at the top and bottom.

Well the first things that jumped out at me were Kali, a kabuto helmet (see
link) and several of the creatures from "Space Invaders".

It's an interesting project. Thanks for sharing it.

I see a dog at the center, some oriental dancers or Samurai, a halberd
and.. it remember me somehow an aged and faded carpet...
Nice work!

I see gothic architecture as well, but I assure you that the smallest
indivisible pigment here is granite :)

You're the third person to voice this observation.

I've seen similar images in there as well.
