Aaah! Good old lovespoons! Very nice work Steve. I would love to see the
harp (I have something with musical instruments)

Lots of things. Some free Poser content. You can see it all at
http://parrotdolphin.deviantart.com/gallery/

Hey, I like the jewelry you posted here. It's very pretty. The gems look really
colourful. How'd you do the gems anyway?
Also, the chain reminds me of a Blender feature called DupliFrames. It's really
fun, you can make one chain section and then duplicate it and have it follow a
curve.

Alien-Tribal... My God, Janet, that rocks me to the bottom of my being,
truly.
(forgetting for one moment your other work which I find impressive)

Hey cool! Damn, you're good at what you do. It seems like you set out to
create *that* image, and aren't satisfied until you get the results you
want. That's a good move in my book, it's what I want to try. Anyway, I've
bookmarked your site now, as I didn't the first time I viewed it. And yes, I
agree with Thomas too! ;)

Heh, thanks. I try to please in the jewellery department. :o)

Well, first off, that gem was originally a free round facetted .DXF
model (I think), which I converted to .OBJ somewhere along the line....
(shrug, it's a blur now as I've had the model for well over five years), and
then I just ovalled it in Wings.

Now, textures and colours is my downfall when rendering, so, those
stones that are supposed to be amethysts are in fact nothing like
amethysts - too much sparkle in them unless they are AAA-AAA-AAA Quality,
(of which, would never happen). I wish those stones were real, they would be
nice. The nearest gemstone to the one I've produced would probably be
'Ametrine' where a nice purple fades into a citrine colour, (but even then,
my image isn't close):
http://www.agta.org/services/images/photos/ametrine001.jpg

But, my latest designs show a much better coloured amethyst in the
attachment, (second after the citrine from left to right, dang, I just know
you know that).

Now I've just got to get the other stones right... ;)

Cool, ok, it sounds perfect for me. I'll check that out, thanks! :)

Yes, that one is freaky. I had it as my wallpaper for a little while and I would
scare myself with it. LOL

Thanks Steve, you are too kind. I "set out" but then I usually just settle
before I am really satisfied (a bad habit). I just tend to get tired of
something and want to start something new.

Have you seen this site?
http://www.crystalgrowing.com/crystal-lab/crystal-lab.htm You can make all
sorts of different crystals and some have POV-Ray output. Not so useful, I
suppose, if you need to design with real gem cuts, but lots of fun anyway.

Well, I liked the textures you used - lots of clolours. :)
Ametrine is gorgrous!

Those are nice. I like the Celtic design in the middle one.

Oh, well I have something in common with yourself then. One Day, I will go
back, and actually try to finish some of my many other projects properly!
But, that's the fascination for me Janet, what's around the corner in the 3D
world? I try this, I try that, and sometimes it looks good(ish), but then
something else crops up, usually inspired by what I see here.

Cool, thanks. No, I hadn't seen that - I'll have a play. I like the idea
of being able to save to pov from a webpage.

Yes, if you like Ametrine, look out for the many different cuts and
shapes that are produced - some are just beautiful.

Thanks, but my boss doesn't like it. He's a mean old man. :(
