That's a pretty amazing image. Bad, but in a good way. ;-)
When I was a kid, I had a camera that took pictures like this (on a large-format
negative!) Rather horrible results--but it was one of my most cherished
possessions!

Well... I am afraid that *permanent* and *two-day* are a bit in conflict
here, so the Beards Club Board of Directors will spend a session discussing
this issue. You will be notified.

Well we could go the extra mile and put a fingertip near the edge :)

The houses? It's rubbish :( It's actually a test scene for a
neighborhood of houses setup I was working on the other day. I idea was
to test cells and place the appropriate unit block according to the
surrounding cells. It works, but adding complexity seems to multiply
certain problems like roof shingles not meeting up right.

My webcam takes aberrated shots similar to this. I had originally
designed the code so that I could add fake elements to scenes and tie
them into real photos. I can still do that, but I doubt I would be able
to fool any of you :)

stbenge, I tried your aberrate scene today and I can get the film grain to work
but not the chromatic abberation. I've tried using both the default settings
and some random ones on my own. Any advice as to what I might be missing would
be greatly appreciated. I really want to try abberatting some pictures because
it will contribute a lot to my undetailed amateur images. =) Thank you for the
work you put into this! If it matters, I'm using POV 3.6.1 on a windows
machine.
